Explore Corcovado

The Jaguar's Jungle Biological Station and Nature Reserve is located in the most remote coastal jungle of Costa Rica. Our 130 acre beach-front nature reserve touches the border of the Corcovado National Park and provides a wildlife sanctuary for the animals who live inside and outside the park limits. Our unique lodge and biological station is the best place in Costa Rica for jungle exploration, exclusive eco-tours, as well as volunteering and student research groups. It is also one of the most pristine locations in Costa Rica to conduct marine biology research.

The diversity found on the Osa peninsula is not surpassed by any region of similar size anywhere on earth, making it an ideal location to study biology, tropical ecology, environmental studies, and marine biology. The Osa encompasses the only remaining old growth wet forests on the Pacific coast of Central America, and 13 major ecosystems including lowland rain forest, highland cloud forest, jolillo palm forest, and mangrove swamps, as well as coastal marine and beach habitats.

Our isolated location gives visitors a unique experience found nowhere else in the world. We are the last frontier of Costa Rica that has remained untouched. We are perfect for groups who want to escape the tourist hot spots of Costa Rica and explore pristine nature without the hustle and bustle of dealing with multiple tour agencies, restaurants, and accommodations.

The station is equipped with dormitory style student housing as well as private rooms. All tap and shower water is UV filtered and our solar panel system provides plenty of electricity.
